Grayhawk

Located in the spectacular high Sonoran Desert of north Scottsdale, the gorgeous community of Grayhawk boasts fabulous views of the ancient spires of Pinnacle Peak and the rugged crests of the breathtakingly beautiful McDowell Mountains. The community is showcased by two distinctive and interconnected neighborhoods, The Park and The Retreat, along with numerous upscale amenities including two championship golf courses, barbecue pavilions, tennis courts, 30 miles of scenic hiking, biking and jogging trails, several swimming pools, tennis tennis courts, playgrounds, picnic ramadas and much more. Real estate within Grayhawk ranges from one bedroom condos under 1,000 square feet, townhomes, villas and detached homes, to custom homes larger than 6,000 square feet that are in a small enclave.

Inside the 497 acres of The Park, large homes enjoy ample yards with wide setbacks and kid-friendly neighborhoods. In addition, The Park is host to a heart-of-the-community 15-acre city park with playgrounds, lighted softball fields, lighted tennis courts, picnic ramadas and multi-use fields perfect for soccer, football, and other sports. Open-to-the-public facilities include a private elementary school, a public school, a luxury life-care retirement community and The Boys & Girls Club of Scottsdale's Thunderbird Branch.

The Retreat neighborhood is distinctly divided into two guard-gated communities: The Raptor Retreat and the Talon Retreat. They feature miles and miles of trails, community tennis courts, shimmering swimming pools, casual and upscale dining venues all reserved for the private use of the residents and their guests.

Grayhawk Golf Club is host to two greatly admired 18-hole golf courses: The Talon Course and The Raptor Course. Both courses have hosted high-profile PGA events and both have earned well-deserved accolades and awards since their opening in the mid-1990s.

Consistently one of the highest rated daily-fee golf courses in Arizona, the Talon Course was designed by former U.S. Open and PGA Champion David Graham and renowned golf course architect Gary Panks. As the course winds its way across the lush desert scape, golfers are treated to a back-nine view of deep box canyons, statuesque stands of centuries-old saguaros and a wealth of Ironwood, Palo Verde and Mesquite trees. Multi-tiered greens and generous fairways are hallmarks of the Talon Course.

Over at the par-72 Raptor Course, we find a sensational Tom Fazio design that stretches 7,135 yards from the back tees as it gently strolls across the panoramic and picturesque landscape familiar to denizens of the Sonoran Desert. As with the Talon course, Raptor offers magnificent views of the McDowell Mountains as well as towering saguaros and indigenous flora and fauna. The course, no stranger to professional golf events, challenges even the most competitive golfers with strategically placed bunkers, intriguing water hazards and undulating greens.

The Clubhouse at Grayhawk Golf Club offers several locations to host gatherings of all varieties, one of which is certain to capture the spirit of your special occasion. The crown jewel in the Grayhawk collection, The Fairway House offers 6,000 square feet of meeting and reception space (combined indoor and outdoor) designed to accommodate groups of 20 to 300 people and provides breathtaking views of Grayhawk's Raptor Course, the McDowell Mountains and Pinnacle Peak.

Casual and upscale dining venues include the Quill Creek Café, the pub-atmosphered Phil's Grill, named after perennial PGA leader and ASU grad Phil Mickelson, Isabella's Kitchen, and The Morning Joint (MoJo).

Grayhawk also has a branch of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale which is also located within the community.
